Hey Brandon. A couple of comments. First, I had surgery on my feet when I was a kid to correct arch issues.
Tapering is BULLSHIT! Not really, but it sucks and leaves me feeling very cranky.
Third, I should be done with my work stuff around 5:00 on Thursday. We're staying at the Club Quarters on 45th street. If we can meet up, cool. If not, that's fine too. I don't want to mess with your mojo and your tri is coming up quickly (good luck by the way)!
Brandon! Another great podcast that got me thru my Thursday lifting session! Just wanted to point out another "small world" moment – You mentioned Steve Spiers (Run Bulldog Run) in your podcast – Steve and I are old co-workers! We also run many of the same local events and see each other on the courses (rather I see the dust he has kicked up!!!) He has helped me tremendously with my training – not only giving great advice but being super supportive and encouraging. In addition to being an UBER talented runner/athlete he is also an amazing person! I highly recommend his book to everyone!
I just had to let you know how cool it was to hear a plug for Steve on your show – I know he will be appreciative – he is certainly deserving!
Thank again for all YOU do for the running community!

Thanks so much Heather! Steve and I first "met" by way of the Shamrock, and we now follow each other on twitter and such. I can't wait to get into his book!
Thanks so much for visiting my site! My name is Brandon Wood and I am the social media manager and a customer service rep for Newton Running. This site and podcast follow my adventures on the way to competing in and training for all kinds of endurance events, especially triathlon and running. Click the "About Me" tab for more info!
When: Starting NOW! This is an ongoing contest that will be every month, or until every person on the planet has nice, fresh smelling shoes!
Why: Because Stuffitts are awesome! The folks at Stuffitts are being SUPER generous and I also want to give you guys something that I think is a great addition to any athletes arsenal!
How: On the last podcast episode post of each month (example: Episode 99 on June 28 HERE) entrants should leave a comment (however long you'd like). On the following week's show (the first show of each month) I will draw, by random number generator, one winner! That's it!
