Hi Brandon,
Been listening to your podcasts for a few episodes now, heard about you from Running with the Pack. It's awesome to hear your race report – I must admit I have never been a sports follower (as in watching it on TV), but hearing your stories & also respect for the winners really brings the whole field to life. Thanks for being an inspiration, keeping me company on runs & being so supportive of your listeners & people around you. Oh, and hearing the gory details is cool.
Hi Brandon,
Congrats on an awesome NY City Triathlon! Man, you really smoked the bike leg! Glad to hear you enjoyed the race so much. Good pics, too. I'm in the last stages of training for the bike leg of the Whisky Dick triathlon (Aug. 9th). I'll send you a report on how it goes. And thanks for the shout-out about my running book library…which is about to grow yet again, much to my wife's dismay. I'll soon be receiving Kenny Moore's book "Best Efforts". Maybe this is an addiction, but I read every one of them multiple times. Perhaps with all this knowledge, I'll go into coaching one of these days! Again, great race, great podcast. Keep it up, bro!
Brandon, I wanted to know if you ever saw the movie Running the Sahara? I highly recommend the movie. Also, maybe one of these days you could interview Catra Corbett, she is an Ultrarunner. Simple question for ya Brandon. How many miles would you suggest running for a long run if you want to do a marathon. I am planning to run my first half in Oct and I can run 10-12 miles with no problem for my long runs which I do every Sunday. I would like to run my first marathon in Feb. You have the best podcast man. Thanks brother. Jaydog.
Thanks so much for visiting my site! My name is Brandon Wood and I am the social media manager and a customer service rep for Newton Running. This site and podcast follow my adventures on the way to competing in and training for all kinds of endurance events, especially triathlon and running. Click the "About Me" tab for more info!
When: Starting NOW! This is an ongoing contest that will be every month, or until every person on the planet has nice, fresh smelling shoes!
Why: Because Stuffitts are awesome! The folks at Stuffitts are being SUPER generous and I also want to give you guys something that I think is a great addition to any athletes arsenal!
How: On the last podcast episode post of each month (example: Episode 99 on June 28 HERE) entrants should leave a comment (however long you'd like). On the following week's show (the first show of each month) I will draw, by random number generator, one winner! That's it!
