Thanks for the advice Brandon. This is my first attempt at a half marathon and I want to not only finish but post a good time. I will order one of those belts to hold my gels for the race. I have a race belt that I use for 5k's, but just to hold the race number and nothing else. I hate those safety pins which are a pain in the ass. Thanks again for putting on such a great show.
Thanks for the shoutout Brandon! Race report to follow in a few days.

Brandon, I will be running a half in Oct in South Florida. Should I use my fuel belt or just stop at the stations along the course? Also, have you ever watched Running the Sahara? It is a great movie that I highly recommend. Take care brother. Jaydog.
Is there something special in the way of a drink that you need or can you make due with what's on the course? If you can make due, I would save the weight and space and just use the aid stations. If you need a place for gels and such, Fuel Belt makes a race belt (holds your bib) with elastic loops for that: ” target=”_blank”>Reply
