  1. Wow, I'm first! Cool! Anyway, Brandon, just heard the podcast on my longish run (11 miles) today and really enjoyed it! It's so inspiring to hear how thoroughly enthused you are and how prepared you seem to be for Ironman Wisconsin! Even though I'm not a tri-athlete myself (yet) I think eventually, if I don't drown or get myself tangled in the bike chains first, I will be. So it's always cool to hear about all the crazy stuff you have to think about in triathloning (is that a word?) that you don't have to worry about when you're just running, especially for the longer distance events. Of course I would wish you the greatest luck in the world when you're in Wisconsin next week but doubt you really need it because you are already so awesome at what you do! Hell, good luck anyway! It'll be a blast, enjoy it!

When you come back (after a recovery week or two), it will be time to prep for Philadelphia! I'm so glad you chose this marathon since I'll be heading down there too. I was originally going to run the full, but since I'm running NYC in early November and just recently signed up for Honolulu in mid December, I decided to just running the half in Philly. Either way, I'll probably stick around to see you cross the finish!

Finally, I was also excited to hear that you're considering dabbling in some relays. They really are so much fun! In fact, if you find one next year and are short for people, look me up…I'll run one with ya!

Keep up the great work. Looking forward to hearing about your Wisconsin adventure!

    Sorry for the long comment.

  2. Great episode Brandon! I am really enjoying your recent episodes where you are interacting with people from the chat room. You seem to cover more questions with them asking along with your discussion. It makes me wish I could be in the chat room as well, but I love listening to your podcasts on my runs, so I guess I will just be a listener.

Good luck on your Ironman! I am so excited to hear about how it goes and to see pictures. You have been such a great motivation, I plan on starting triathlon training after I qualify and run Boston, hopefully sooner than later! Never before did I think about doing an Ironman and now I can't wait to start the training for a half Ironman and one day full.

  3. Another great episode. Tell Andrea awesome job on the 100on100.

And Im sure we will have an opening our team next year Brandon if you want to tackle Vermont with us.

    • Thanks Mark! I have thought about it, trust me. Time will tell though. I can't quite plan that far ahead, but when I can, I'll let you know.

  4. Hey Brandon, a clarification: the Garmin 405 can store "courses"-I have a few stored and it works great, it will steer me to the route then once on the route I can follow it. I don't know what Garmin means by "routes" vs "courses". Also, the 205 is just the 305 without the HR monitor.
