Hey Brandon you great big Newton Preacher Man. Just thought I'd pop in and say Good Luck this weekend.
As someone who's felt the Ironman pain too many times I'll be keeping up to date with what's happening on race day and rooting for you (even if you do wear gimmik clown shoes).
Good Q.
Nike Pegasus to train. I can wear them straight out of the box and do 20 in them, no breaking them in worries.
Just trying Brooks T6 to race. Awesome fast and comfy enough (for me, not everyone) to do a Marathon in, they do come up a touch small though.
I'm pulling for you, Brandon! With your attitude and preparation, I know you'll have a great race! Just keep the adrenaline in check on the bike so you have plenty in the tank for the run. I'm excited for you and can't wait to hear how you do! Rock it, bro!

Of course it is. GRID is a gimik. WAVE is a gimik. AIR is a gimik.
Hold on, we might be on the wrong footing. The gimik/clown comment was tongue in cheek, don't read too much into it. You've got much bigger fish to fry this weekend. I don't want you getting distracted.
Sure I'm a sceptic and I think some of Newtons marketing is a bit aggresive hence I tend to be aggresive the other way. It's nothing against them (or you) it's just the way I am – honest. I've never tried them and I won't try anything that asks me to change my running style.
Ignore all my Newton comments and lets get back to the main reason for the post. My wishing you all the best for the race this weekend. That's genuine
Good Luck and go smack the race like we know you can.
Understood, thank you very much! We can discuss more after the race! I think I've talked it to death on my past shows also, so you know what I would say…go run barefoot. That's how you run in Newtons!
Thank you again! You and everybody else have been amazing with all the support!
You guys have a safe drive out to Wisconsin and good luck on the race. There is no Doubt you will have an awesome experience. Treasure it! Can't wait for your Ironman race report/video/podcast!!!!
Thanks so much for visiting my site! My name is Brandon Wood and I am the social media manager and a customer service rep for Newton Running. This site and podcast follow my adventures on the way to competing in and training for all kinds of endurance events, especially triathlon and running. Click the "About Me" tab for more info!
When: Starting NOW! This is an ongoing contest that will be every month, or until every person on the planet has nice, fresh smelling shoes!
Why: Because Stuffitts are awesome! The folks at Stuffitts are being SUPER generous and I also want to give you guys something that I think is a great addition to any athletes arsenal!
How: On the last podcast episode post of each month (example: Episode 99 on June 28 HERE) entrants should leave a comment (however long you'd like). On the following week's show (the first show of each month) I will draw, by random number generator, one winner! That's it!

So, you don't think that air injected foam is a gimick?
