Brandon, I have a race report for ya. On Oct 25th I completed my first Half Marathon called the Halloween Half in Jensen Beach Florida. I wanted to finish in 2-2.5 hrs and I completed the race in 2hrs 8 min to come in 6th place in my age group 30-34. What an amazing feeling. I am now hooked on longer races instead of doing the 5 and 10k’s. I am running another Half in Nov and will attempt my first marathon in Feb. Maybe we can meet up at next years NYC marathon. I would love to run it. When can you apply for the lottery to get in that race? Take care, Jaydog.

Hey Brandon – Great podcast as always. I love hearing your thoughts/comments about the NYC marathon because it gets me a little more excited to run.

Just one quick thing. Since you asked, the time qualifications for NYCM is 2:55 in the Open Division (18-39) for the men and 3:23 for the women. You can also qualify via half-marathon times (Men – 1:23; Women – 1:37). My PRs are only about 1:30 slower than half marathon NYQ and 7:30 slower than full marathon NYQ…that’s why I know these things (Don’t hate me for it, please!)

Sorry I won’t be able to make your Newton clinic because it conflicts with work (but I did give you a shoutout on my latest blog post!)

Anyway, hope to see you on the sidelines this weekend! So freakin’ excited now! Take care!
