RaceLikeNoOther_PB_cOn Episode 61 of Brandon’s Marathon Podcast, I will be interviewing Liz Robbins, author of A Race Like No Other: 26.2 Miles Through the Streets of New York. I am so excited for you to hear from the author of such a fantastic book that give such an insightful look into the New York City Marathon.

So, to celebrate a great book about a great race, I am going to give away copy of the just released paperback! Since we are a month away from the 2009 NYC Marathon, what better way to find out about not only the race itself, but the people and stories of some of the racers!

Hey IronB. I just got caught up with your Ironman report and your interview with Kevin. I had to break up your 2-hour podcast into installments! Anyway, you kick ass and it was great to hear all of the perspectives around the event. I also heard you talking about this book and would like a copy since I plan to run it in 2010 or 2011 (depending on the luck of the lottery).

  7. Kate says:

Looking for a constant flow of motivation as I up my mileage again. (Somehow reading books about people who run more miles than you do makes it easier to get through your own miles!)

Hey Ironman aka Brandon. I used to live in NY but moved in 2005 to God’s waiting room aka Sunny Florida. Watching the travel channel the other night there was a show called extreme races and one of the races was called the Empire State Run-Up held I believe in Feb. That looked so frickin cool man. Have you ever heard of this race and have you ever thought about doing it? By the way, I want that book man. Take care, I look forward to the next show.

Hey B, I used to live in NY, now I am in god’s waiting room aka Sunny Florida and have lived here since 2005. I only started running for about 1 year now and can’t imagine where my life would be without the joy that running brings me. I would love to read this book. I was watching a show called extreme races on the travel channel and one of the races was the Empire State Building Run-Up. This looked so frickin cool. Have you ever thought about doing this race? I believe it is in Feb. Thanks brother aka ironman.

    Hey B-

Don’t enter me in the contest, because I already have the book and I’m almost finished. It is awesome! I think all marathoners and future marathoners would love it! I am training for my first marathon right now–and it will be NYC on November 1st. So, I’m finding the booking incredibly inspiring and exciting. Can’t wait to hear your interview!
