One foot in front of the other.
Today was the 2009 New York City Marathon! I began my day at home watching the women’s and men’s professional starts before heading down to Central Park. I did my best to get to the park to see the winners and got there with time to spare.
There was too much confusion around me to really give an accurate rundown of what I say, but, suffice it to say that anyone who thinks marathon is not a spectator sport in this day and age is dead wrong! I’d like to give a huge thanks to the Polish people who allowed me to get right up to the course to watch, to Ari and my wife both for sending me updates via text messages and phone calls.

Congratulations especially to Meb Keflezighi who brought the title of New York City Marathon Champion back to the United States!
Also, to all of my friends who ran today, you are all amazing! Last, but most certainly not least, to every single athlete in today’s race, CONGRATULATIONS!!
