About the Run: Tonight I decided it was Bubba’s turn to go for a run with me. Bubba is our three and a half year old Yorkiepoo and regardless of his massive

13 pounds, he thinks he is the size of a Saint Bernard.

Today’s assigned run was: Nice steady zone 2 pace with some hard surges for 3 minutes every 20 minutes. Due to the fact that my cousin, Will, came to visit today and Danielle and I were finishing up our nursery, I decided to move my rest day from yesterday to today. Bubba and I headed out on what was an incredibly beautiful day. His legs being the size they are had kind of a tough time keeping up, so I knocked my pace back to compensate. I didn’t want to push him too hard so we made it a relatively short run. I have to say, I love running with my dogs!

Running with a dog reminds me of what it is like to be running around when you’re a kid. When the weather is nice, I love to take mine out for a run. She’s an Italian Greyhound, so she’s a lot faster than me for about two miles and then she wants to head home for a nap. It’s perfect company for when I’m doing the one-mile hill workout loops around my house. I do two of those with her and then drop her off and keep going.
