About the Run: My assigned workout today was 3200 meters in the pool. The first 700 meters of this were with fins to work the legs, which I did, rather hard. This became very apparent this evening when I got home and suited up for my run. I set out knowing it would be a short run (my short runs seem to be right at 2 miles) and was more than happy with that due to my swim and the fact that I was a bit annoyed with the cold. As I hit the first little rise that I run I felt my legs talking back to me. It was really nothing too big, but I just felt it. This is something that has been pretty foreign to me since Ironman Wisconsin ended. I used to have tired legs the day of or after a long ride, and it was kind of an oddly nostalgic type of irritation that my legs felt today.
I would also like to note that, when I do these short runs it often takes me almost as long to get suited up in my cold gear as it does to do the run itself!
